The Principalities

The Principalities serve as guiding forces for leaders across various realms, including nations, governments, religious institutions, and modern organizations, ensuring the manifestation of God’s work on Earth through spiritual leadership. Positioned at the summit of celestial messengers, the Principalities, residing in the third sphere, play a pivotal role as intermediaries between the divine and the human realm.

The celestial messengers, encompassing Principalities, Archangels, and Angels, form the lowest order of Angels. Principalities, ranking above Archangels, hold the seventh position among the nine orders of angels. This unique status places them in close proximity to the human realm, allowing them to exert a tangible influence on the material plane and engage directly with people on Earth.

While Archangels shield individuals, Principalities take on the responsibility of guiding the collective body of humanity, offering counsel to leaders overseeing large groups and steering mass cultural movements. Their primary mission is to facilitate the discovery of wisdom, especially concerning leadership and responsibility. By encouraging, guiding, and channeling innovative ideas to those in positions of authority, Principalities play a crucial role in providing insight to leaders facing challenges and uncertainty.

These angelic beings transcend borders, assisting nations, religions, cultures, and countries. Their overarching objective is to foster harmony, balance, and peace among Earth’s inhabitants. Working from the top down, they collaborate with influential figures, inspiring decisions rooted in goodwill and directing leaders toward methods that serve the greater good.

Principalities engage with individuals overseeing others, imparting the wisdom of balanced, open-minded, and fair leadership. Their energy serves as an antidote to harsh, authoritarian leadership styles, guiding people to exercise power in ways that uplift and promote collective healing, evolution, and growth.

As the highest order of celestial messengers, Principalities maintain a close connection to the next sphere of angels. To ensure seamless continuity within the angelic hierarchy, they collaborate with second-sphere angels (Dominions, Virtues, and Powers), acting as a bridge to the material world. Through this harmonious collaboration, the Principalities contribute to the celestial orchestration that seeks to uplift humanity and bridge the divine with the earthly.

The Hermit

The Hermit Tarot card embodies profound key meanings, including spiritual enlightenment, soul searching, self-reflection, introspection, contemplation, inner guidance, and solitude.

Upright Interpretation:

In the upright position, The Hermit suggests a phase of spiritual awakening and self-discovery. You are entering a period marked by soul-searching and deep introspection. This may involve withdrawing from the demands of daily life to delve into the core of your being, seeking a profound understanding of yourself, your life’s direction, and your values. The wisdom of The Hermit encourages you to temporarily detach from the social milieu, allowing you to discover your authentic spiritual self. It may also signify a need for solitude to recover from a challenging situation. The card can indicate a mature, wise individual seeking guidance, perhaps through counseling or self-reflection. This is a time to prioritize your own needs and focus on personal growth.

Reversed Interpretation:

When The Hermit appears reversed, it serves as a gentle warning. It suggests that you might have withdrawn excessively from the world, potentially becoming overly reclusive. While solitude was beneficial at some point, The Hermit reversed encourages you to reconnect with the world and the people around you. Excessive self-reflection can be detrimental, and now is the time to draw a line under past experiences and move forward. It may also imply a hesitation or shyness in social situations, urging you not to fear re-engaging with others. Alternatively, the reversed Hermit warns against avoiding self-reflection due to fear of what you might discover within. It signals a potential fixation on someone or something, or an inflexibility and restriction in your perspectives. Embracing a balanced approach to solitude and social interaction is crucial for your overall well-being.

Cats and Egypt

The ancient Egyptians held a profound reverence for cats, viewing them as divine emissaries of the gods. Among these revered feline deities, Bastet stands out as the most widely recognized in Egypt. Tasked with safeguarding homes from malevolent spirits, Bastet also served as the guardian of women’s secrets, fertility, and domestic harmony.

In the sacred realm of Ancient Egypt, departed cats were accorded a unique ritual—they were mummified and interred in tombs alongside their human companions. A testament to this deep-seated reverence emerged in 2018 with the discovery of a 4,500-year-old tomb adorned with resplendent feline statues.

The veneration of cats transcends epochs, echoing through time to the present day. Beyond mere companionship, cats enrich our lives with love and playful energy. Their presence also offers a practical dimension, acting as a deterrent to rodents and securing our material well-being.

Recent studies have affirmed what cat enthusiasts have long intuited: cats forge genuine emotional bonds with their human counterparts. Even in the afterlife, this connection endures, manifesting in various spiritual forms.

Cat spirits, intricately woven into the tapestry of existence, can reveal their presence through nuanced energies. These ethereal manifestations include a sensed presence, with cat-shaped spirits often observed curled up at the feet of those attuned to their energy. The lingering impression of a feline companion in bed may also be a poignant afterimage.

The cycle of life intertwines with the spiritual realm, as cat spirits may choose to reincarnate through new kittens or other animal companions. The familiar traits and quirks of a beloved cat may resurface in the personality of a new feline friend, creating a profound sense of continuity.

For those seeking guidance and wisdom, cat spirits can be invoked during meditation. Much like calling upon angels or spirit guides, one can beckon the energy of cat spirits to serve as totems or conduits for the wisdom of departed loved ones. In this timeless dance between humans and cats, the spiritual connection endures, transcending the boundaries of mortality.

Mountain Pose (Tadasana)

So, Yoga and Meditation are important in quieting the World around us, balancing ourselves and reducing out personal cacophony so we can hear the subtle messages trying to reach us. If you want to start Yoga, start here.

Mountain Pose (Tadasana): Embracing Majestic Steadiness

At the foundational core of yoga postures lies the Mountain Pose, or Tadasana. This seemingly simple yet profound pose instructs practitioners to stand with regal steadiness, mirroring the unwavering grandeur of a mountain. Derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Tada,’ meaning mountain, this pose serves as the bedrock for all standing asanas. While it may appear as mere stillness, the Mountain Pose intricately engages various muscle groups, fostering physical and mental balance, and enhancing focus and concentration.

How to Practice Tadasana:

Begin by standing with your feet together, heels slightly apart, and arms hanging naturally beside your torso.

Ground yourself by spreading your toes and evenly distributing your weight across both feet. Activate and firm your thigh muscles while gently rotating them inward.

Release tension in your shoulders by relaxing them and rolling them back and down. This action opens the chest, promoting a sense of openness and balance.

Inhale deeply to elongate your torso, and with each exhale, allow your shoulder blades to release away from your head. You may choose to bring your hands together in prayer position at your chest or let them rest gently by your sides.

Engage in long, slow, and deliberate breaths, cultivating a sense of calm and presence.

Beginner’s Tip:

For those new to the practice, aligning oneself in Tadasana can be facilitated by standing against a wall initially. This provides a tactile reference point for correct posture. Additionally, experimenting with raising your hands and stretching them overhead can accentuate the elongation of the spine. Remember to breathe naturally and effortlessly throughout the pose, allowing the breath to become a source of grounding and mindfulness.

In essence, the Mountain Pose extends beyond its outward simplicity. It serves as a gateway to inner balance, inviting practitioners to embody the strength and stability of a mountain while fostering a deeper connection between body, mind, and breath. As you stand in Tadasana, you not only cultivate physical poise but also tap into the profound stillness that resides within, mirroring the serene grandeur of a mountain peak.

What is Inosculation

The thinner tree was cut years ago and the big one has been holding and feeding it since then. They “wake up” together in the Spring and “go to sleep” together in the Fall.

Do you remember my post on Pando?
Inosculation, a captivating and remarkable natural phenomenon, unfolds as an intricate dance of arboreal connection. This enchanting process involves the interweaving of parts from two distinct trees, often of the same species, as they engage in a botanical embrace. Through the mystical act of self-grafting, these trees forge an intimate bond, seamlessly blending their lifeblood and sharing vital nutrients.

The roots of this fascinating concept stretch come from  Latin, where the term “inosculation” finds its origins in the word “ōsculārī,” meaning to kiss. Just as a tender kiss symbolizes a connection between individuals, inosculation illustrates the harmonious union of arboreal entities. This botanical embrace is not merely a visual spectacle; it is a testament to the resilience and interconnectedness of the natural world.

Consider, for instance, a tale of arboreal companionship, where the slender tree yielded to the saw years ago, leaving behind a void in the forest. Yet, the resilient and mighty companion, the larger tree, has since been steadfastly cradling and nourishing its diminutive counterpart. Through the changing seasons, these arboreal companions arise in tandem with the arrival of spring, awakening from their winter slumber, and gracefully bid farewell together as they enter the autumnal embrace of dormancy.

Inosculation, then, becomes not just a botanical phenomenon but a poetic narrative of trees entwining their destinies, sharing not only physical space but also the very essence of life itself. It is a story told in the language of branches and leaves, a silent testimony to the beauty and interconnectedness that flourishes within the natural world.

The Esoteric Nature of Cats

If you know me, you know I love cats. I’m going to spend some time of the next few weeks touching on the esoteric and spiritual nature of cats. Let’s jump in.

In the comforting presence of feline companions, an enchanting transformation unfolds in the very fabric of our lives. Those who’ve shared moments with these graceful creatures understand the profound impact they bring, transforming a mere dwelling into a haven of tranquility and ease—unless, of course, they’re in the midst of a mischievous escapade. Yet, beyond the anecdotal joys of living with cats, there exists a body of compelling research suggesting that the bond between humans and their feline friends extends far beyond the surface.

The essence of serenity that cats infuse into our homes is not merely a subjective sentiment but a scientifically acknowledged phenomenon. Studies hint at a fascinating correlation: cat owners may indeed find themselves on a trajectory towards a longer and healthier life. Perhaps the stereotype of the ‘crazy cat lady’ conceals a kernel of wisdom after all.

Delving into the realm of feline physiology adds another layer of intrigue. Cats, those elegant purveyors of comfort, emit a rhythmic purr at a frequency of 26 Hertz. Coincidentally, this very frequency aligns with the vibrational therapies employed by scientists to stimulate tissue regeneration. It’s as if the subtle hum of a cat’s purr possesses a healing resonance, an ancient harmony echoing through the ages.

An old adage in veterinary lore amplifies the mystical aura surrounding these creatures: “If you put a cat and a pile of broken bones in the same room, the bones will heal.” While the image of a purring cat serving as a makeshift cast for a fractured arm might be whimsical, the healing powers of feline companionship extend far beyond the physical.

The wisdom of ancient civilizations, who regarded cats as enchanting beings, resonates with the findings of modern science. Beyond the delightful antics and soothing purrs, cats wield a transformative influence, reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, and diminishing the risk of heart disease. In the intricate dance between human and feline, a silent pact unfolds—a therapeutic alliance that transcends the ordinary, weaving a tapestry of well-being in the shared spaces we call home.

The Angels

This week in the Hierarchy of Angels, I’m going to go with the Christian Angels. As that is what most people will better understand.

As I mentioned before there are three Hierarchies, Spheres or Triads of angels, with each Hierarchy containing three Orders or Choirs. The Highest Order of Angels is consists of The Seraphom, The Cherbim and The Thrones. The Middle Order has The Dominions, The Virtues and The Powers. The Lowest Order contains The Principalities, The Archangels and The Angels.

Each Order of Angels has their own job, The Order of Angels that most people are familiar with are the lowest Order of Angels; The Angels. The tasks that the lower Order of Angels are in charge of are receiving, revealing, and anointing. Angels do not take any glory and are not to be worshipped, just listened to.  It is said that if you quiet your mind you will hear Angelic Messages knocking on the outside of your mind. If you ever see an Angel, know that they will appear in a form that you can relate to, so that you can focus on the message, not the messenger.

Next Week, Archangels.

Until then,
Jennifer

Embrace Change and Empowerment with The Chariot

Embrace Change and Empowerment with The Chariot:

The Chariot card encourages you to prepare for forthcoming changes, which could involve a relocation or an exciting opportunity to travel. Much like the Charioteer who embarks on a journey, you should be ready to embrace new experiences that shift with every valley and mountain pass.

You may find yourself living out of a suitcase, where every place becomes your temporary home. Welcome new people who enter your life with an open heart, as they may hold the key to enriching experiences. Most importantly, cultivate a sense of adaptability and savor the joys of newfound freedom. The Charioteer exemplifies self-sufficiency and resilience.

Stay poised and self-contained as these transformative changes sweep you along on their course.

Upright Meaning of The Chariot:

The Chariot Tarot card signifies a triumphant sense of liberation, as if the Charioteer is celebrated like a hero or heroine parading through the streets. This card marks an acknowledgment of significant achievements and symbolizes a newfound sense of empowerment.

Powerful wheels and spirited steeds accelerate the realization of the driver’s willpower. This surge propels those with ambition to access more of the world’s opportunities. However, this newfound freedom comes with a note of caution, for it intensifies the pace of change and magnifies the consequences of judgment errors. Like a seasoned warrior, the Charioteer must stay vigilant about the path ahead.

Reversed Meaning of The Chariot:

When The Chariot card appears reversed, it suggests that you may resist taking the reins and assuming responsibility for steering your life forward.

You recognize your capacity to initiate change, but you hesitate to take the first step. You might have convincing reasons for holding back, but remember that no external forces are compelling you; you have alternatives. Acknowledge and address your inner resistance instead of attributing your inaction to external circumstances.

Learning to Meditate 101

Learning to Meditate 101

Are you wondering how to begin your meditation journey? Mindfulness meditation offers a pathway to harness the power of your mind and cultivate awareness.

When we pay attention to our breath, we’re essentially learning to recenter ourselves in the present moment, consciously and without judgment. The essential tools to bring to your meditation practice are patience, self-compassion, and a comfortable place to sit.

Meditation offers profound and enduring benefits to our lives, and the best part is, you don’t need any special equipment or costly memberships. Here are five compelling reasons to embrace meditation:

Understanding Your Pain: Meditation allows you to explore and understand your emotional and physical pain, helping you find healthier ways to manage it.

Lowering Stress: Regular meditation practice can reduce stress levels and enhance your ability to cope with life’s challenges.

Enhanced Connections: Meditation can improve your relationships by fostering empathy, communication, and emotional intelligence.

Boosted Focus: It enhances your capacity to concentrate, leading to increased productivity and a greater sense of fulfillment.

Quieting Mental Chatter: Meditation helps quiet the incessant noise of your mind, promoting clarity and inner peace.

Meditation is both simpler and more challenging than people often assume. Follow these steps to embark on your meditation journey:

Choose Your Seat: Select a quiet, peaceful place to sit comfortably.

Set a Time Limit: If you’re just starting, opt for a shorter duration, like five or ten minutes.

Tune into Your Body: Whether sitting in a chair, cross-legged, or kneeling, ensure stability and comfort for the duration.

Feel Your Breath: Focus on the sensation of your breath as it enters and exits your body.

Acknowledge Wanderings: Your mind will inevitably wander; when it does, simply redirect your attention back to the breath.

Be Gentle with Your Mind: Avoid judgment or fixation on your thoughts; instead, return to the breath kindly.

Conclude with Kindness: When you’re ready, gently open your eyes (if closed) and observe your surroundings, your body, and your thoughts and emotions.

That’s it! This is the essence of the practice—shifting your focus, welcoming the wanderings of the mind, and returning with a gentle, forgiving attitude as many times as needed.
